Pros

Industry certifications Great place to learn all about SEM

Cons

Low pay - non-competitive No room for advancement - if you want a promotion, you need to find another job Low to no raises - we went three years without getting any raises, then when we did, it was only 1-2% Work/life balance isn't good

Pros

I have had the opportunity to learn a significant amount working at Metrix 4 Media, about Search Engine Marketing and digital media in general. people are very knowledgeable and friendly and have always gone out of their way to make sure i have what i need to succeed.

Cons

Constantly creating new products and changing requirements is very hard to keep up with. This industry moves very fast.

Pros

Great people to work with before Local Edge took over. We all worked hard but could still laugh! We were not micro managed - we knew what needed to be done to keep customers happy and we did it.

Cons

Poor management once Local Edge/Hearst took over. Lies upon lies! No raises or if you did get one it was 1% unless you were a management favorite. Upper Management from Buffalo walked in on a Thursday morning and notified all employees (except for three that I'm sure were kept on only to clean up the mess) that the office was closing! We left our computers on and were told to leave once they went over our severance package. Health insurance was stopped that day - unfair treatment to employees who worked really hard to make millions of dollars for a select few. Outsiders were brought into the company who thought they knew everything but were clueless. We must have been doing something right before Local Edge/Hearst got involved or why else did they pay millions to acquire us?
