Pros

Lunch is paid for daily, bonus packages for managers/ assistant managers, as well as production bonuses/ commission. Holiday pay for all major holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas). Insurance is offered or you can receive a insurance stipend with 401K packages optional. Determination is rewarded if your willing to put in the time. College education not required to climb the corporate ladder. All you need is a good work ethic, some determination, and be willing to put in the hours. Some computer skills are recommended/ preferred however the software is easy to learn.

Cons

Long hours, and it could be a long drive to work depending on where your assistance is needed. Also you are needed most weekends during the summer because it the busiest time of year.

Pros

The people at the corporate office in Pelham are very intelligent and I enjoyed the interview process. This is a great company if you are looking to hone in on sharpening your lower level management skills. Great people all around and I really enjoyed working with everyone.

Cons

No work life balance (this is expected so I am not sure if this is really a con). The store is open from 7-5:30 but they expect you there at 6:30 am. Store management can be unpolished at times...but I understand this is not the most glorious job/and or position to hold at any level in someones career unless they are fresh out of school (High School). If you enjoy customer interaction, this is not the job for you. Through my time with this company there were 3-4 people in the office (who worked there) and only two desks and two phones and two computers... You will wish for excitement at all times of the day and it will never come. If you are an introvert or anti-social you will love working here... And I was at one of the busiest stores. I remember asking a manager why there were no chairs in front of the desks (They had chairs off to the side like you would see in a doctor's office) and he responded by saying he did not want the customers to get comfortable... That made no sense to me, because that is when you want them to sit there. You want to be asking them probing questions about future opportunities in which they would need another unit or truck... Get the wheels spinning while the customer has their guard down... The same manager would go on to hold a 10 minute conversation littered with the phrase "Good night alive" over an injury to one of his customers received in his hand....I am pretty sure he would have much rather been seated, especially since this manager was the one being inquisitive. Business acumen not needed to work here. That is not a bad thing, but if you are a "go getter" and you want to make money and help a company be more successful in all aspects...This is not the company for you, as I feel that people are too easily threatened by outside influence and progression.
