Pros
Benefits are good comparatively to friends at other companies. 401k match is excellent - up to 6% match. Bonus program is nice, but you aren't ever guaranteed to get the bonus. In the last few years one year we got the full bonus, the second year we got half the bonus, this year it looks like we'll get the full bonus but won't know until October.
Cons
Pay - they don't pay competitively and don't give raises that even remotely keep up with cost of living. Communication is horrible from management to employees. If you're part of a business that's not at the corporate facility you're treated as lesser and often as though you/your job/your customers/your products don't matter or are inferior. They do not provide adequate training. And aren't flexible with schedule. Lots of turn over as well since it was announced that Post Holdings had purchased Bob Evans and that retail jobs at Michael Foods would be going to people in Ohio at Bob Evans. Many departments after 8 plus months, still do not know if they'll have jobs come the end of September.
