Being around animals is great, and the benefits/insurance/pto are better compared to other workplaces. There are different learning opportunities and experiences you get, if you're lucky enough to be able to particpate.

One of the most toxic, stressful environment I have ever worked in. You're treated like another cog in the machine, and upper management would rather work on bare boned staff and run their employees ragged instead of hiring more staff. You would figure that with the few employees that they do have they would pay you a living wage, but they do not. Management is incredibly controlling and inflexible and they do not care about your mental or physical well being. Youll be expected to do more work and tasks than what you signed up for, unless youre one of managements favorites. Do not expect any of your suggestions, opinions or concerns to be heard because they truly do not care and will not change.
