Pros
All of the great reasons to work at MPO are overshadowed by the terrible workplace environment that the company is aware of yet ignores.
Cons
I genuinely love my work and colleagues, and I am part of regulatory & clinical team. The work itself is exciting and enjoyable, however I cannot say the same for management. Specifically, the VP - who was the reason 50-60% of our team left the company - constantly employed bullying, intimidation, and borderline verbal abuse as "management" tactics with his employees. On multiple occasions many of her employees - and my colleagues - would leave meetings in fear after being yelled at, berated, and even threatened by this manager. While numerous employees have filed complaints with HR and reported all incidents in our yearly feedback surveys, MPO has ignored every mention of this behavior. Moreover, the company actually has encouraged this behavior through promotions and widening this individuals scope of management to include more employees. MPO has chosen to create a hostile work environment through allowing a workplace tyrant to repeatedly mistreat his employees. Due to the fact that reports to HR and numerous feedback surveys had no effect (other than promotions and increased hostile management), many hard-working and brilliant employees were forced to leave the company for their own well-being.
