Pros

Most of the other employees were great to work with. Pleasant atmosphere and nice office. Company has a lot of potential of growth.

Cons

Upper management has no direction. Management by fire (or what the Owner is focusing on today). Executive Management seems to completely lack communication skills to employees on the company's status and future. Owner micro-manages in few small areas of the company and ignore the underlining problems of the organization, accountability. He needs to establish measureable goals for his direct reports and manage them. His direct reports have to do the same and on down the line. But it has to start at the top. All of this has created a revolving door where the average tenure is less than 18 months. The growth of the company along with the revolving door have left the company constantly understaffed.

Pros

company is growing at a great rate, doubled in size over last 5 years, very smart and talented people working in senior level positions, good pay/bonuses/benefits, decent healthcare plan, the work being done is meaningful and good work does not go unnoticed. Office environment is great and office location is great.

Cons

maybe prone to higher rates of turnover but that is the nature of the construction business. Seems like there is a strong focus on retention now than in the past. Company could be a little more organized as it is tough to track all the different things going with projects in 6-7 different states at time.

Pros

Good starting salary. Some great people work there. 8-5 company with nice benefits. The CEO is a wonderful person. Nice that you receive a Christmas bonus!

Cons

High turnover company. While I was there (just under 3 months) more than a dozen people were either fired or quit. Owner is difficult to work with, the problem is, he knows this and doesn't care. Everyone has different benefits as far as PTO. Not all things apply to all employees. I actually saw the owner tell someone to go home for a week because they had a difference of opinion on a project. Please note that there was no argument or hostile words, just a difference of opinions. MAAMECH boasts about communication being a core value, however, communication is anything but a core value.
