Great partners and projects, but very poor internal management - UX-UI Designer Mifort Employee Review

A good education on pyramid scams, ephemeral work and cryptocurrency exchanges.

I was at this place for 2 1/2 days. While there is a seemingly generous base salary, you have to commit to consecutive days and you are assigned 2 to 3 groups of daily tasks to complete. My task was to rate apps, using automatic (and embarrassingly irrelevant) responses and scores. You do NOT download, use or review each app. Each canned rating took about 4 keystrokes and up to 20 seconds. For each app rated, the average commission was about 20 cents. Sounds easy and simple? Read on. In a distracting Temu-like incentive system, you have to deposit your own cash/crypto to cover commissions on larger bundled or “lucky” orders which are supposedly randomly-assigned (and which pay a somewhat higher commission). While you are told you can withdraw the commissions at the end of every day, you have to have a base amount in your MiFort account that is essentially frozen to continue to receive apps to rate. Some “lucky” or “bundled” orders will far exceed the reserve in your MiFort account and you cannot continue to work until you have used your own money to cover the difference. I don’t know why commissions on regular, “lucky” and “bundled” orders are not payed out the same way. In 2.5 days I calculate a net income of about $60. You are paid in cryptocurrency, so forget about this “job” if you are uneasy about crypto.

It was my first workplace and a good start where I could learn a lot and my initiatives were welcomed. I had a nice manager Alex who was supportive and knowledgeable in my field.

There were literally no benefits when I worked for Mifort and salaries were a bit moderate.
