Pros
- I worked with many other groups during my off season and they were all great and understanding of the time crunch. - Good work/life balance - Bagels on Fridays - Snacks
Cons
- The parking is no bueno. There are only 6-8 spaces available for auditors! Every one who is not early has to resort to street parking. - Pay is significantly lower than industry average. I was placed in the Labor Union group and they were a nightmare to work for. It was the most hostile work environment that I have ever encountered. I regret not reporting them to HR and enduring the abuse while I was there. Don’t be a pushover like me, say something if you feel mistreated. The day that I gave my notice to my partner, she apologized profusely because she knew how much I was bullied by my supervisors yet did nothing to mitigate the situation. She was as bad as them. I remember she sat me down and told me to adopt a “Mona Lisa” mentality. That is, smile, but not be so cheery. I knew at that moment this was not the firm I want to stay in long term. I am naturally a happy and bubbly person, and to be told that was not acceptable behavior crushed me.
