Pros
The only reason to work for Minacs/OnStar is because you live in Michigan and jobs are scarce. Even then, you should exhaust all other options first. There are literally no pro's to this job other than the tiny paycheck.
Cons
This company took over the contract for the Warren call center for OnStar on November 8, 2010. The takeover was announced in September. In the two months they had to prepare to take over a client this large, they obviously made very few preparations. As of this writing, (12/29/10) we still have not had access to an actual Minacs representative since September, only their higher ups from their Farmington Hills branch. They transferred our absences from our previous contractor and some were fired because Minacs has a lower firing threshold than the previous company, yet we're on a 90 day waiting period to be able to request ANY time off because we're all "new" employees. We have no discernible chain of command above our Operations Managers and HR Rep. They seem to not care at all about even the most tenured of our advisors. I have never dealt with such a disorganized, unprofessional company.
