Pros

Working at MoTek structures you to be competitive, have quick wit, be sharp in sales, and set you up to make good money. Most people are used to working in companies that have leads and supervisors, to shield the owner's expectations. Jerald is hands-on, which can be an advantage to those who are interested in advancing to become successful. Not everybody is able to keep up the pace, or have the entrepreneurial Spirit to withstand the process.

Cons

You have to put in hours in order to make the money. This will cause you to compromise with other areas of life. Depending on how important success is for you, some might not be able to make this transition.

Pros

I've been very fortunate, and have had some amazing employees since opening MoTek. I have given opportunities to individuals who usually have very little or no sales experience, and have trained everyone to the best of my abilities. Some have been extremely successful, and accomplish both professional / personal goals. But most people fail, and it's usually because of work ethic. To be a successful Technical Recruiter, you better be prepared to work harder than you have ever worked before. For the first 3-6 months, you pretty much have to put your life on hold. There will be 12 hour days. You also must pick up the phone, and actually have a conversation with people. If you can't do these things, YOU WILL FAIL!!! But if you are willing to make the temporary sacrifice, you will have a great chance to have a long-term career in this very competitive business. I've never asked anyone to do something that I haven't personally done myself. When I started Recruiting back in 1999, I worked 60-65 hours a week, and made a bare minimum of 100 phone calls every day. I've been blessed to have almost 20 years in this business, but I've also worked my @$$ off. I've had a very rewarding career financially, but it's helping companies build their Engineering teams, and helping individuals find their "dream job" that brings me the most pleasure.

Cons

I don't sugar coat anything. If you're doing a great job, I'll be the first to pat you on the back, and reward you for your efforts. If you are struggling, I'll let you know exactly what you need to do to get out of a rut (everyone, including myself, has been in a rut at one time or another). For those who think there is an elevator ride to success, you won't like it at MoTek. I don't take credit for your talent, hunger, and drive. But these things are necessary to be an "A" player in this game.

Pros

I’m very thankful to have able to work for Motek Technologies. It is one of the best places I have ever worked at. If you are a serious recruiter, who wants to build a stable career and make 6 figures annually, Motek is a great company that allows you to do so. If you are a hard worker, you will be rewarded with a generous commission and added bonuses, just some of the few perks at this company. We have some of the most knowledgeable recruiters who have consistently showed they can close deals on a regular basis. The environment is comfortable to work in. The CEO Jerald is humble, kind-hearted, honest and loyal. He stands by his word. He has been in this business for almost 2 decades and wants others to follow his success and build successful careers.

Cons

There is a lot of work that is required to be an exceptional recruiter. That is expected in any sales environment. Many people have come to Motek and made more money than they had ever made anywhere else, and yet after a short while they became greedy and careless. Just like in any fast-paced work environment, do not get too comfortable, because there is a possibility of being replaced.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I know that if you focus on your "professional goals", you will also hit all your "personal goals". To be able to do "whatever" you want, "whenever" you want is the reward for hard work. Keep grinding, and may all your dreams come true :-)
