Pros
Helping district leaders and knowing that the trickle-down effect on teachers and students is making a difference in the K12 community. The product concept is smart. The national network of members is a great group of educators—you all know one another and learn from one another. Students will benefit from their districts following the Modern Teacher framework and teacher professional learning. PTO was always easy to schedule and take. Benefits were average. Work/Life balance on a small team was great.
Cons
Lack of management. No budget to make improvements or add employees to grow. Lack of communication- will take team members days to respond to emails or SLACK messages. High staff turnover is directly related to the CEO's attitude and behavior. If you were not liked, you were gone. Small team- Less than 10 employees who are all performing multiple roles. No room for advancement in salary- no bonus structure.
