Pros

Pay scale updated, but low balled on starting pay because it goes by years of service with the company, not the number of years of experience as a nurse who has spent 10 years working in SNFs.

Cons

- extremely detrimental to disabled staff - extreme micromanagement (no work/life balance) - 98% of nursing staff is agency - no acknowledgement for the work you do - expectations for responsibilities increases every week without extra help - MHCM staff are not treated equally - little to no advocacy for floor staff - backhanded threats from administrator against disabled floor staff

We are sorry your experience with us didn't live up to our goal of being a premier employer in the healthcare field. We are very troubled by some of the cons listed below, which are a direct contradiction to our core values as an organization. If you would be willing to share, we feel we could benefit from hearing about your direct experience and the situations that lead to your review. Please contact either our VP of Human Resources, Jessica Olson (jolson@monarchmn.com) or our Talent Retention Director, Beth Spreigl (bspreigl@monarchmn.com) if you would be willing to help. One thing we would like to clarify here is the pay scale, which we pride ourselves in for the transparency we provide over this. A number of factors go into wage scale, but we consider total experience as the biggest part of this, not just experience with Monarch. We hope new employees will value the transparency they will see when applying to work for us. The goal of Monarch Healthcare Management is to celebrate each staff that chooses to work for us. Our goal of providing care and customer service to our residents cannot be achieved without this. While we understand you were being facetious with your "98% of staff are agency" comment this is not true of any Monarch program we are aware of. Temporary or agency staff provide a sometimes-needed boost to support our resident needs, but nothing will ever compare to the award-winning quality of care our residents receive from a Monarch staff member. We hope we get a chance to prove this to you and all others that cross our threshold.

Pros

With career considerations, there are no pros to this facility.

Cons

The management staff ruins companies like this. However, the upper-level management's only concern is quantity, not quality. Patients suffer the most. This is a high-risk environment for a licensed nurse.
