Pros
It’s been an incredible four and a half years at Moneycorp. I’ve had the chance to work with and learn from some true legends of the industry, and hopefully played a small part in supporting the next wave of talented people coming through as well. The people are what make the business special - supportive colleagues, approachable leadership, and a genuinely enjoyable working environment. The culture within Corporate FX was particularly strong, with teams that worked hard together and genuinely supported one another. I learned a huge amount during my time at the company, felt trusted with responsibility, and was given (or at least carved out for myself) opportunities to develop professionally and personally.
Cons
The main frustration for me was what felt like limited opportunities for career progression, alongside a lack of consistent investment and product development focus within the Corporate FX side of the business. At times, it could feel difficult to see a clear long-term pathway for growth and advancement in this area of the business. I personally wanted to work somewhere that is focussing on and growing in the area I am working in / responsible for.
