President was very involved with the company and had an open door policy The company tried to find new and exciting products to introduce to customers

The sales were hard to keep up due to being located in shopping malls Management had difficulty

I really liked the small company and being able to know higher management at headquarters. Fun in store staff at times(changes frequently). Learned a lot of knowledge on great pet products and animals.

You don't notice company faults until you've worked for a period of time. Since the company is small, they are very cheap. Supplies, wages, product prices, etc. Starting wages are nice, but only because there are little to no raises. You can find most if not all of their product somewhere cheaper(and customers let us know), even when things are clearance I've been able to find them less expensive at other pet stores(even with associate discount). Headquarters plays a disgusting amount of favoritism with stores and employees over others. Its very irritating to ask HQ for permission to do a sale or damage something and get denied, and then find out they let another store do the same coupon/sale you were asking for. Depending on store manager, it can be a very pleasant working experience. Don't expect the amount of hours that you would like.
