Pros

For a large company, it is surprising to me, that there is a family type of atmosphere, to an extent of course. Personally, I had/occasionally still have issues with insomnia, which is obvious to myself, and others I'm sure. The people are NOT out to rip you to shreds and make things worse. Everybody has problems. Mine lasted/still appear on occasion, and people help, not go on the attack, as some companies. I did read a review about some people working 40, same pay/bonuses as someone working major overtime. I agree, somewhat. Not sure how to compensate a 60 hr/wk. employee vs. a 40 hr/wk. employee. If it was mandatory 50 or 60 hrs., and someone did not do as instructed, I suppose they'd have reason to let 40 hr. person go. The pay is a bit above average, the health insurance is market average, and vacation time maybe a bit lower for newer hires, but it all works out. Again, my opinion, for a huge company, it is extra ordinary.

Cons

Maybe another week's worth of vacation? 20 word minimum, so maybe Cafeteria food have more vegan choices, and/lactose free. Looks good.

Pros

You are surrounded by excellent colleagues across all departments, with the exception of Government Property.

Cons

The Government Property team suffers from severe leadership deficiencies and a toxic work culture. The Senior Manager has a well-documented history of high turnover, carrying a reputation from her previous role where team members actively sought transfers. Under this leadership, promotions are actively discouraged through targeted hostility and fabricated performance issues. Because the management team lacks foundational people skills and prior leadership experience, employee retention is critically low. While other departments within the organization offer great opportunities for growth, transferring into or staying within Government Property is highly discouraged.
