Pros

The people in the Tewkesbury site are great to work with! The work-life balance is pretty good. Good flexible hours. Loads of employee benefits. Fairly relaxed culture. Lots of big social events occur throughout the year. Organisational structure is fairly flat which means everyone would get to know you. If you have a proactive working style and make an impact, you will get noticed.

Cons

Career progression is an absolute joke. Managers will try to block you from moving roles/departments. Office politics is rampant and interferes with team dynamics/productivity. Zero accountability because you 'expect and trust' the other person to do their job?! Outdated technology and business systems. The business model is stale. You will get bored very quickly. A lot of lip service and false promises, especially from higher up the chain. A lot of 'single point failures'. People are not willing to share knowledge.

Some general company disorganization. There are also some areas that are lacking technological advancements.

Pros

You are surrounded by excellent colleagues across all departments, with the exception of Government Property.

Cons

The Government Property team suffers from severe leadership deficiencies and a toxic work culture. The Senior Manager has a well-documented history of high turnover, carrying a reputation from her previous role where team members actively sought transfers. Under this leadership, promotions are actively discouraged through targeted hostility and fabricated performance issues. Because the management team lacks foundational people skills and prior leadership experience, employee retention is critically low. While other departments within the organization offer great opportunities for growth, transferring into or staying within Government Property is highly discouraged.
