Pros

Smart colleagues and a culture that encourages outside-the-box thinking. Good benefits, great free snacks.

Cons

Team bandwidth was consistently overstretched across all levels, making it difficult for employees to do their work well. Dept. leadership misalignment created conflicting priorities and unclear direction for midlevel and senior staff, which also set an inconsistent example for junior employees. Very much a “thrown to the wolves” onboarding approach, with new hires expected to take on high-pressure work without sufficient context or guidance. This often resulted in late nights spent ramping up while simultaneously delivering. Scoping and vendor/partner processes were outdated and misaligned with how modern media teams operate, leading to excessive back and forth, inefficiencies, and frequent rework.

Pros

The team—minus a few exceptions—is made up of hardworking, fun, and genuinely pleasant people who make the day-to-day more enjoyable. The challenging environment taught me invaluable skills in patience, resilience, and managing up—adapting quickly despite chaotic and contradiction. The lack of clear guidance pushed me to take ownership of my work and develop strong problem-solving skills.

Cons

The [top-down] culture at Moon Rabbit was self-serving, and often prioritized ego over efficiency. This created a chaotic and contradictory environment where blame was constantly shifted rather than problems being addressed. The focus seemed more on isolating faults in individual performance than on fostering genuine collaboration or improvement. Positive reinforcement was almost nonexistent, with good work rarely acknowledged—contributing to a culture of fear and diminished confidence. This atmosphere made it difficult to feel supported or valued as an employee.
