Pros

finding the strength to leave

Cons

The environment is micromanaging, toxic and led with pure fear. This does not give you your dream job, all of the 5* reviews are fake and written by the management. There is a reason the staff turnover there is so high, and they keep rebranding to skirt away from being blacklisted on the independent London music scene. I’ve been questioned in job interviews since leaving, where interviewers in similar roles know how bad this company is, so you leave on the back foot. It does not land you your dream job, and whilst you’re there you’re constantly fighting an incredibly outdated and rigid working environment where you have no autonomy over either your work or your personal life - as they love to control as much of you as they can. As soon as they feel threatened by this, they threaten your job.

Pros

Working at More Live Booking Agency was a great learning experience. The team is supportive, collaborative, and easy to work with, and management is approachable and open to communication. The role offers valuable hands-on experience in live bookings and the events industry.

Cons

The pace can be demanding at times, but it’s a good environment to grow, gain responsibility, and build industry skills. Overall, a solid place to work with a positive team culture.

Pros

Co workers were very kind

Cons

A very unpleasant working environment and not music industry focused as advertised - this is a telecommunications role. You are not allowed to speak to colleagues, not allowed to eat anything at your desk (this can only be done during your one 30min break), you’re making roughly 70-120 calls a day trying to get small bands to sign up for gigs that they will barely get paid for and then you will call them often multiple times a week asking why they haven’t sold tickets (even when the gig is months away and they have 100 followers) and threaten to kick them off the gig, it feels like you’re exploiting artists. Manager will stand behind you and watch/ listen through each call you make and then tell you to push harder and go faster through calls. You’re not allowed to go off script - it’s very high pressure and extremely micro managed.
