Pros
Mos has a unique work culture that's rare to find anywhere else. The environment feels very relaxed while still being productive and light-hearted. One of the most important aspects of this team is that everyone genuinely believes in the mission; making education financially accessible for as many people as possible. Mos is composed of a lean team, everyone has different responsibilities, yet everyone is welcome to pitch in ideas outside of their purview, whether that's an engineer offering advice on a marketing email or the designer offering suggestions for the product manager. I really appreciated how the CEO leads by example and is the first one in (usually by over an hour) and one of the last people out. She, as well as everyone else on the team, is very fun and interesting to talk with, but also serious about getting the work done. Other pros: -office is loaded with snacks -beautiful views -easily accessible by public transportation -highly flexible schedule -candid feedback is welcomed
Cons
Mos has a lean time, meaning you'll have a lot of responsibilities. For many, this isn't really a downside because that means the work you do really matters and has an impact. Just don't expect your usual 9-5 job. Office is located in downtown San Francisco, bring a lunch if you don't want to lose your paycheck on getting lunch.
