Pros

- I work in the corporate office on 42nd St, scheduling patients' procedures. I am allowed three days to work from home and two days in the office. Two of my colleagues work 100% in the offices at 17 E 102nd St and the other 5 East 98th, so it does depend on where you are placed when you get the job. Remote has been the biggest perk -Decent pay - only $25 an hour but not bad; no pay increase unless moving up to Patient Coordinator II or if Mount Sinai sends an email willing to pay increase -you can move to other depts by applying on their internal system for other opportunities -strictly 9 to 5pm. Once 5pm hits you go home and close your laptop

Cons

-The insurance is United Healthcare which is terrible and copay are high. One doctor appt at Mount Sinai I had for an office visit was $50.

Pros

Management was generally easygoing, which could be a positive if you prefer a low-pressure environment

Cons

However, there was not always a strong sense of accountability or clear performance expectations. For someone who is self-motivated, it was easy to stay productive and take ownership, but the structure also allowed others to skate by without much follow-up.
