Pros

Management is proactive about building a good culture. There’s a lot of genuine people working there who want the company to succeed.

Cons

The company isn’t honest with itself, choosing to focus on metrics of convenience. Doesn’t understand its customer’s needs, resulting in products missing the mark. This is caused by the CEO who insists on developing product himself and yet knows nothing about product development methodologies to build customer experiences. He mistakes UI for UX. He doesn’t listen, thinks he knows everything and is much smarter than everyone else – a big-time narcissist with zero EQ. Truth.

MoxiWorks Response

We at MoxiWorks pride ourselves on building a great culture that encourages feedback and the rigorous debate that creates better products and services faster. No one here, including our CEO, is ever done improving themselves and their contribution to the company. We’re sorry that you had what you characterize as a bad experience in the product evolution process here, but know that all feedback, yours included, is taken seriously so we can keep making a great company even better.

Pros

MoxiWorks at one time had an incredible culture under a dynamic respected CEO and leadership team. Incredibly talented people who "Got Sh*t Done". Wide variety of backgrounds who came together to thrive. A customer-focus that resulted in nearly unmatched customer service rankings and ratings. That was then.

Cons

VC backing brought in a "CEO" who allowed his last company to be stripped for parts after he left (check those Glassdoor rankings). Unsurprisingly, he did the same thing at MW. Layoffs after layoffs while he hires buddies of his with zero experience in the industry MW serves, cut costs, outsource, offshore. Company is a shell of its former self. Great young talent ran off, though a few folks remain from the heyday. They can try to polish up bad code and pretend it's new, but the products remain woefully behind competitors - which is why they lie about features to try to sell it. The spirit that was MW is dead and the industry knows it. Hopefully they spin off ActivePipe into its own company again so they don't take that great product and the Australian team down with the ship.
