Pros

Great office location (Eastside of Milwaukee), President is very well-connected, Opportunity to meet senior level executives and politicos as a young professional.

Cons

Not a ton of opportunity to grow, due to such a small company structure. Can be very cliquey. President is near/past retirement age, not sure if a succession plan is in place.

Pros

Mueller Communications offers young professionals an opportunity to get hands-on experience with some of the top PR practitioners in the state. Employees are given the opportunity to move up through the company at their own pace within a culture that values teamwork. There is an open door policy that fosters sharing and collaboration and a mentor program that helps employees stay on track with their professional development goals. Staff is friendly in and outside of the office and there are regular social office outings. It is a great place to start and to grow a career in public relations.

Cons

Mueller Communications gained its reputation in the community because of the great work its staff produces. Leadership takes that reputation very seriously and thus, the standard of work is very high. Employees are expected to work hard, sometimes beyond the traditional 9-5. To be a right fit at Mueller Communications, an employee needs to be energized by the fast pace of the work, not overwhelmed by it.
