Pros

Working from home is nice.

Cons

You will work 60 hours each week. You will not be provided support. You will be expected to respond to messages at all hours. You do not have weekends. You do not have nights. You do not have life, you will only have work because even when you sleep, you'll be getting messages from clients and work assignments your L5 didn't want to do. You will be given unrealistic expectations. By unrealistic, I mean divine intervention would be necessary to get remotely close. You will be expected to meet and exceed them. You will be berated if you don't. If you are outside of California, good luck. East Coast employees were expected to work until 8 PM or later. Some decided to simply work 12 - 8 PM like they still worked at a call center. I hope you don't enjoy the holidays. You will not be eating turkey at Thanksgiving. You will not be opening gifts at Christmas. You won't blow out candles on your birthday. You'll miss life events because of the work you are expected to churn out. You will be working around the clock. It's unimaginable to tell a client no or push back. When you eventually burn out and need time off, good luck in that arena. Unlimited PTO is a scam. You only get as many days off as your manager approves. This also is impossible to navigate because depending on your manager, YOU MAY NEVER SPEAK TO THEM. If you do manage to snag a day off, you will be harassed. And you better answer when they call, too. On top of that, 'get your clients covered.' Like you work in retail again. Maybe your L5 will step up and do the work of a small fry? Nope :) This is a pyramid scheme. L1 and L2 do all the work at this company. L3 and above simply delegate work and enjoy commissions from the work done by the ones below them. I hear way too often an L4 doesn't want to do an undesirable, tedious, difficult, time consuming task so they offload it to someone below them. Sure that may be all upper management, but at this company it is blantant. Believe me, you are nothing to those people. You're working to pay for your L5 next vacation. Speaking of treatment of lower levels, you will not be trained. I sincerely hope you are some type of brainiac who can solve any and every single problem known to man. If you are not, no one else is either. You'll be thrown to the wolves when you inevitably do not have the tools or resources to fix problems. Accountability is passed down from the top down. This company is also full of liars. I am convinced all the positive reviews were created to bury all the negative ones. They won AdAge by incentivizing employees.
