Pros

Great colleagues you get to work with

Cons

Toxic workplace, too tight deadlines leading to rush, scope creep where you have to do more than your job description. Top level managers seem to have favorites that get some preferential treatment. Organizational decisions are made without considering staff welfare. Co-founders are obsessed with the company operations that they become bottlenecks; even the littlest things must be approved by Cofounders. Too many meetings affecting actual productivity. Onboarding is poor, because the people who are supposed to onboard you left, and the people there are struggling to find thier feet. Beware

Pros

There are no pros; the company is a messed-up place. They hire good people but treat them like trash. They claim they pay well, but with the kind of work you will do, that payment cannot help your physical and mental exhaustion, which you will definitely face at this company

Cons

It is a terrible place to work, no days off and you are expected to work round the clock because of the so called distributed teams around Africa. The co founders are a couple that bring their family disagreements to staff calls and meetings. No benefits attached to your employment. Your mental health will be in the gutter by the time the company is done with you.

Pros

Get to work with people of diverse cultures and experiences. You learn to work under stress and get toughened. Learning opportunities, as there are always courses to be done.

Cons

No work life balance, one is usually asked and expected to do work that isn't part of what one was hired for, talking about ownership and high performing. No value for staff feedback , the Co-founders call the shots. Not a creative place to work , as you are not entitled to an opinion, but always have to copy and paste what others are doing- talking about evidence proofing. This usually leads to self doubt, as your ideas are not valid until you have shown that this person from this organisation did it like this and also show that many other people who aren't even experts in the field have reviewed it. The feedback don't come all together, so imagine doing a design and going back and forth to edit numerous times -- something so simple will always become complex. No salary structure - you earn what you bargain during your interview, so do your research well, don't shoot yourself in the leg.
