Cons
They advertise a ‘base salary’ of £300 plus uncapped commission. However, you don’t unlock commission until you’ve made £300 worth of sales. So the role is commission only. Every morning you have boring repetitive ‘meetings’ (lessons) for an hour. Around midday you then get put into groups and sent to a random location in Essex (office based in Chelmsford). You don’t find out where you’re going until youre literally downstairs about to leave. People who don’t drive are stranded for a way to get home. They advertise 9-5:30 in the interview process, Mon-Fri. They then say you have to reach 12 sales a week, knocking door to door. If you don’t achieve that, you end up feeling pressure to work Saturdays to make it to 12 sales. They advertise glamorous parts like trips and things like that, but you’re expected to work 9:30-8:30 Mon-Fri/Sat, as a vast majority of sales are made after half 5. They call this the ‘money lap’. It’s a rather unsafe thing to do, where you go to high crime rate areas to knock on random doors, receiving abuse, having big dogs run out of houses at you etc. I couldn’t encourage you enough NOT to work here. (if i could give work/life balance 0* I would)
