Pros

-If you avoid challenging leadership and go along with poor decisions, you'll likely get promoted. -For individuals who prefer minimal accountability and low performance expectations, this may feel like a comfortable environment. -Occasional coworkers (very few) may demonstrate some level of competence or professionalism. - If you are French or German, there's a significantly higher chance you'll be promoted rapidly, regardless of skill or performance.

Cons

- Executive and senior leadership (CEO, EVPs, VPs, and Directors) largely lack the basic skills, knowledge, or vision needed to lead effectively. -Incompetence is rewarded more than performance or ability; promotions are often political rather than merit-based. -Challenging the status quo or trying to drive improvement will hurt your career progression. -The culture punishes competence — skilled and driven professionals are pushed out, ignored, or quickly burn out. -No real innovation, or strategic direction — leadership tends to resist change and accountability. -Toxic environment where survival depends on staying quiet and compliant, not delivering results.

Pros

Great company, respected historical background with amazing products that sell on quality and brand recognition. Some amazing sales people who are passionate, respected by customers and have been there for decades. Surgical and many other shared functions have some honest, managers. Work life balance has its ups and downs but mostly good. That was a relief.

Cons

Politics, promotion and awards depend on whom you know or have a right internal Promoter, racism at several levels and many colored people get laid off despite hard work and performance not only in Norcross but Maine and opportunity at global is a rarity if you are anything but white. Stay away from toxic, messy Wound care business - period. It has been convoluted from years. Top layer is full of old-school white club but I heard they making some changes. They may claim diversity but one look at global teams and regional LT in US and you get the facts. Middle level is rampant of such examples of letting go at manager’s discretions and whims. Lower pay than industry.
