No sense of urgency until its too late to matter
Homogeneous group of culturally vanilla people who blame outwardly and don't think to reflect on their own actions.
Was hired after three rounds of interviews, left one job and turned down another. Was told I was offered more than the salary budgeted for the role, that they wanted to invest in me because I'd be a great addition to their team, then set a start date almost a month out from my hire date. That was the first odd thing. Then I was told I would be the first one to go through this new training which they changed from being one on one to mostly self-directed; though they hired me knowing I had many things to learn and that it was my first job using these skills, fine. Was told that training was the time to learn from mistakes and review. Halfway through a three-month training period I'm let go. Stated reasons essentially being making mistakes during training, and not progressing through it at the rate they needed me to, to be ready for their 'busy season'; even though I was following a daily schedule given by my manager and completing tasks within the time stated. So apparently they didn't mean anything they said. The other thing that stood out as incompetent management, is why not start me right away if you need me to be trained by a certain point?
'Do the right thing right, the first time' not even close.
