Pros
A singular focus on a singular purpose made this a great experience, for a while. In the beginning the startup culture and the focus on building something special and important overshadowed the painfully antiquated senior management.
Cons
An increasingly process heavy orangisation with personal agendas and power trips becoming the norm rather than the exception. We're wasting taxpayer's money and hiring fools to do it. Our senior management have no idea what's happening beneath them because it IS beneath them.
