Pros

I can't say how great this organization is. Such a wonderful mission, helping developmentally disabled individuals live as independently as possible. But from a career development perspective, it goes above and beyond. I started as an entry-level direct care professional and am now an assistant manager. I also have tuition reimbursement opportunities as well as a chance to get a bonus when I get my DSC certificate (paid for by the company). The recruiting team has been a really big help in all of that. And the staff at my program are the best. But ultimately we are here for the people we help, and that makes the job very rewarding.

Cons

When I first started I sometimes felt that we could use more training, but the company has done a very good job of providing more training to new hires, as well as staff like myself.

Pros

Meaningful Work – The NEEDS Center truly makes a difference in the lives of individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. It’s fulfilling to be part of an organization that prioritizes care and support. Supportive Team Environment – Colleagues and supervisors are passionate, dedicated, and always willing to help. There’s a strong sense of teamwork. Growth Opportunities – Plenty of chances to develop skills and advance within the organization, especially for those passionate about the field. Flexible and Understanding – Leadership understands that employees have personal lives and offers flexibility when possible.

Cons

Fast-Paced Environment – The work is dynamic and fulfilling, but staying organized and adaptable is important. Growing Organization – As The NEEDS Center grows, there are always new developments being introduced, which is okay but it requires some adjustment. Pay - Salaries are in line with the nonprofit sector and they offer good benefits.
