Unappreciated and uncared for. - Associate NH Architecture Employee Review

Pros

Nice office, good location and a great group of people

Cons

Directors care more about their bottom line and yearly divedends than their staff. During Covid all employees had pay reduced by 20% whilst the company claimed job keeper. No HR and a fundamental lack of understanding and appreciation for people on an individual level. Strictly inflexible working arrangements. No office standards or proceedures

Pros

Some talented and creative colleagues Great office location, reasonable attempt and building office culture

Cons

- Career progression is very limited unless you come from Lyons. - Promotions carry little weight — almost half the staff are “associates,” including people only 6 months out of university - Leadership is weak since the founders and good directors departed — staff departures are barely acknowledged - Unfair treatment during Covid: employees faced pay cuts while directors took large bonuses - Pay is uncompetitive compared to peers in the industry - Poor systems and processes — not at the standard of a true tier 1 firm despite the branding. Staff are pigeonholed with little opportunity to diversify skills - Overly politically correct environment that feels inauthentic
