This is caused by a culture of fear, where managers are more worried about keeping their position and income than they are about improving the NHS. There is a complete aversion to modernisation and computerisation as a whole which is costing the NHS millions in wasted time and is costing patients because of archaic booking, working and clinical record keeping practices.
