I appreciated the international scope of the company and the wide variety of roles in marketing and digital fields. Working with colleagues from partner companies gave me the opportunity to meet many professionals and gain valuable experience.
Cons
However, I experienced significant issues related to favoritism. Despite consistently performing well and receiving positive feedback from my direct supervisor, my manager who was not closely involved with the company I worked with as a contractor gave me low scores in my performance review. My efforts, including collaborating with colleagues in Australia and adjusting my schedule to resolve issues, were not recognized. I also feel that the email I sent documenting and explaining my contributions was not read; instead, they chose to rely on the perspective of someone they had worked with personally. Additionally, the notice period to leave the company was very short, making the transition difficult. While I sought legal support to ensure my rights, the overall evaluation felt disrespectful and did not reflect the value I brought to the company. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving future work experiences for contractors and employees alike.
