Pros
Great pay. Day rate. A lot of days were short and you're still paid your full wage. No overtime of course with day rate but not many days over 18-20 hours so it already ended up working less hours for more money.
Cons
Area I was in had too many guys with a god complex. Only real downside. Plus frozen centrifuges in the winter is never fun but that was the roughnecks fault. Also it being a big company. You're treated like just a number. The pay makes that bearable though.
