Pros

Smooth interview process, smiling faces, and a lot of promises about your career development (little did I know)

Cons

After receiving my visa and agreeing on a starting date with them, a week later I’m invited to a meeting where they will proceed to do the most French thing ever, telling me that they can’t honor our employment agreement because they won’t be able to find any mission for a person with my level of experience (if that’s so you shouldn’t have hired me in the 1st place) and they are in a crisis situation (in this case it was a crisis situation at least when I was hired and when I was updating your precious hr on every step of my visa process, and it was a crisis situation a week ago before I purchased my plane ticket …). They explicitly told me I have 2 choices: come from my home country in Africa to Paris so that we can terminate your employment (emmm sounds familiar) on the 1st day of the probationary period, or don’t come at all . 2 weeks later they’re calling for me to attend on the agreed starting date to start my employment (of course in a classic French manner when they cc every employee to the email), when I explained that as per our last conversation you told me that my job post in no longer available and I shouldn’t come, they proceed to send me letters at home stating that I was explaining in a misleading way that they don’t wish for me to come, and that I’m a liar by telling them that, denying that we ever had any meeting to discuss it, and fabricating facts to show that I am the villain in their story (I stand corrected this is the most French thing ever). Then they informed me that I’m fired due to misconduct (yes since i never worked for them a single day… lol). If you’re approached by NOVENCIA GROUP and your name isn’t Clement Jean-François, just ignore them, you’re just a name on a list under the label diversity. The fact that they’re hiring you, and you leaving your country and your former employment doesn’t mean anything.
