Pros

It has been more than 2 years now in Nagarro and the journey has been wonderful.A lot of things make it a dream company for me :- 1. Work Culture is awesome.Employee friendly environment. 2. Nice Appraisals unmatched with anywhere else. 3. Decent Onsite Opportunities. 4. Nice bunch of people in their respective fields and technologies.

Cons

The point that I am going to make here is really very crucial and needs extreme attention of the higher management. Hopefully the senior management would take it on priority and do something about it.The retention policy at Nagarro is really awesome. Nagarro takes a step further in retaining its employees and especially the old ones. However, with this they have turned a blind eye to the fact that many of the employees who have been working here from many years have really proved NPAs to the company.Noteworthy are the observations about these emplyees :- 1. Communication Skills are really pathetic. It seems they haven't thought of working on this since so many years as they feel it's unimportant. Some of the employess at the positions of Leads,Managers are really very bad at it inspite of the fact that these are the people who have direct client facing. 2. Many of the employees are really bad at their technical skills and stand nowhere with the new quality resources that are coming from various other companies. 3. Many of the new employees have to suffer because of these employees in terms of roles, ratings, opportunities etc. Many of the old employees also have backing of their managers, directors who themselves are old in Nagarro. 4. As most of them have never been to any other company they are unaware of the importance of domain expertise, team work, team building, processes and leadership qualities. 5. Many of them being here for 6+ years are drawing huge salaries and therefore don't want to leave from here. The only thing this affects is that they don't want to leave their comfort zone and put an extra effort to improve themselves. 6. The attitude that as they are the old employees of the company they are the BOSS. It is reflected again and again in their communication and the way they take things. Retention of the employees is never a bad policy but to compromise on the quality of resources and also let new joiners suffer is not good. This is not my perception but has been talked about many of my friends ,teamates who have either left the company or are thinking of doing that.Let the new employees and the old ones have equal and fair opportunities and competition and let the best man win.The intent of this write-up is not to write against someone but to help improve company's image ,thereby adding a new feather to dream company's image. Also there are definitely many such employees who are extremely experts in their respective domains and technologies.

Nagarro Response

Dear colleague, First of all, let me thank you for taking the time to write a constructive feedback here on Glassdoor. Second, you should know that this is feedback that you can bring to us in person and it will be received very openly. Nagarro is essentially non-hierarchical. This means that we don't believe in default assertiveness or authority due to seniority in experience, designation, or age in the company. Any authority is to be gained by the role we are playing or the capability that we demonstrate. This is our culture, but this is also our aspirational culture - which means that we understand that not all parts of Nagarro necessarily apply it completely. On the other hand, the problem of being bossy or hierarchical isn't just with 'older Nagarro' people. We actually also face this with a lot of new senior hires. The industry we are in has been hierarchical for very long. And we have to work hard to get everyone to adopt our culture. We do take communication ability very seriously - the fact that we have been continuously adding more communication trainers in the company shows that. It also shows in how we do promotions. And at more senior levels, this is considered more and more critical. Having said that, I also want to point out that we are more new than old at all levels today than old. Only around 100 out of 3000 people are more than 10 years old in the company. Only around 400 out of 3000 people are more than 5 years old in the company. This goes across all designation and roles. I think the problems you are demonstrating is not to do with old vs new. But, in general, there will always be a variety of capability and skill levels in a company. As long as it is always improving, we are in a good place. If there are no systems to measure and improve, then we are not. I feel confident that we do have the right systems in place. I request that you reach out to me directly and share your experience. We can work together to see what can be improved specifically. Regards, Vaibhav

Pros

Very flexible and good for work/life balance. Insurance is fully paid for by the company and doesn’t come out of your check which is a pro.

Cons

For this position, your employment only goes as far as billable hours go. If they are running low on projects, they will give you a 2 weeks notice to look for a project within the company and HR claims they will help you, but in my experience they did not.
