Pros
Overall I only found only 2 Pros : - permanent WFH - Ginger
Cons
Lots of Cons : 1. Project : Allocation is done based on some algorithm prepared internally. You can deny project allocated of course, but then if it was so smooth, it would not have been in cons. Once allocated, you can not ask for change before 18 months. If you request for change after 18 months, it will be a notice of 3 months from project then you will move to bench. Then after being on bench TAP will find you another project. I did not liked this whole process because project allocated is not always skill match or the technologies you would have wanted. Next, project was like from Ice age, started in early 2000 and still stretching on. People in project are working on same project for more than 10 years. These are not 1 or 2 people but almost 50% people are 10+ years in same project. 2. Manager or so called OG (operation Guide): Just Terminology change, a typical service industry manager mindset. I was allotted project on second day of my joining , and manager told me, oh you are given higher salary. I don't understand why he said that on first one on one interaction with manager. Those were the exact words he said on second day of my joining. 3. Interviews : I have given 11 rounds, 6 before joining, 5 after that. After allocating project on second day of my joining, I was told that they will give you an overview. But instead they explain me in 1 liner and told lets have a short interview of 1 hour. Then internally, I have given 3, 4 rounds to all the teams I have joined in my tenure of 5 months. It was like same questions repeating, same answers and same results, congratulations you have cleared. One Client round was also there, which to me, looks like manipulated . He will ask you same set of questions asked previously from other candidates. 4. Salary : Its manipulative. If you have shown them, that you already have an offer, they always give 1.5 -2 Lac more than that. But do keep in mind, they don't offer any perks. You won't have any WFH facilities like internet reimbursement or equipment buyout etc. Insurance policies are also bad. Insurance premium are not at subsidized rate. Attrition Rate: Very high lately more than 20%. That is also manipulative, since they are retaining freshers without work. Fresher they can easily pay as salary is low. Also they do have some other tricks like they offer unpaid leaves to freshers. As Fresher, you cannot raise concern since unemployment is making new high in country. For fresher getting a job is very difficult. But I have scene lot many freshers, who joined as trainee are kept on bench(from 3 to 4 months now). Now I know, you will say this is a pros since they are not laying off. But let me make something very clear, trainees which they have picked are more than capable. They are not guided properly. Worst role is played by the manager(OG) who is supposed to guide them. Instead he just delegates its task to folks who does flattery and nothing else. Daily Scrum: This is a joke. People uses this to show as many excuses as they can to avoid work. Hackathon is a meme. Work timing : Officially its 9 hours, but the problem is , this company is client centric. Nothing matters except client. I have worked for almost 11- 12 hours daily. Major reason for these many hours are the onsite people and people who are doing flattery, to get onsite opportunity. Onsite people starts there work when our day ends. But onsite folks will make sure you will stay 3, 4 hours extra. They will do that, no matter what the excuse. One advice to offshore folks, please do not support them in this ridiculous behavior. Workload : I have felt too much pressure as only I was the only one adding new features. Other were just doing PR review and picking bug fixes. Work assignment pipeline is not clear. You will be assigned stories by everybody. Don't understand, who there scrum coach is. Notice Period: 2 months from day1. I was denied buyout. My manager said we have too much of dependency on you. FYI, when I resigned , I was only 1 week into the project. Now, I don't know, how my dependency is so much. After the resignation, I was forced to complete 2 months and to work like 12 hours daily. Overall It was really bad experience. I had to resign within 2 months of joining. Personally I don' recommend it. It is a typical 1 star company. I recommend to consider other option if you have. I hope it helps you and finds you in good health.
