Pros

The pay was good and they have decent benefits.

Cons

Management is terrible. Complete disregard for work/life balance. Lack of communication and information. Terrible choice on insurance company for worker's Comp. Lack of caring about employee work related injuries Lack of understanding distances for deliveries. Lack of understanding load management. Orders were frequently incorrect and I was blamed for them being wrong. Lack of understanding that they have a more work and not enough employees to do said work.

Pros

Company is always working. Even though coronavirus pandemic.

Cons

No communication among management. No work life balance. Facility is not keep clean. Trucks are not loaded properly. Trucks are not maintenance. Drivers are not held accountable to the up keep of company trucks. So you have to clean out your truck each day, gas it up , put Def in the vehicle, and what ever fluids that are missing. Before you start your route. New employees are ask to come in at 400 am and you can sit around until 900am until they find you something to do. Your paid every two weeks instead of weekly. No job security. For the type of work we do, and the volume of work your grossly underpaid. Employees are not treated as professionals. National can expect you to do 35 deliveries a day that can conflict with DOT 14 hour rule. They need to higher more drivers to handle the volume properly. They also may need to learn from fortune 500 transportation companies how to properly load each vehicle so each customer product is loaded together and not all mixed up. If national invest the time and concern the efficiency of delivery will go up, amount of time drivers are out on the road will go down. That's a win win for companies overall bottom line.
