Ineffective middle management and an impersonal corporate approach from upper management does not sit well with those that have stuck it out through the transition. Cost cutting measures have drastically reduced employee benefits and increased cost, employee safety during inclement weather is no longer prioritized over the bottom line, and significant cost cutting measures are threatening to compromise the scientific integrity of the project. Management has given no indication that they value the intellectual capital their employees provide and morale is at an all-time low.
