Pros
The business is run by people putting in extra effort, going beyond where they can and working stupid hours. That is not a sustainable substitute for a strategy, beyond asking for more and micromanaging our diaries, but it does show there are some great hard workers here. We also have the biggest fleet size which means we don't often let down the customer.
Cons
- No line of sight career development pathway. - Poor payers with inconsistent salaries within teams (we talk) - No formalised development training (there is for technical positions within engineering as required, or maybe for managers). - Whenever a manager leaves the cost is saved by someone else carrying out that job in combination with their own - Payrises typically given if we threaten to leave rather than through a yearly review for meeting targets beyond revenue (there are annual flat increases across all employees between 1-3%).
