Pros

PRONS > Flexible schedule >Most of the students are polite and decent unlike if you are teaching Chinese, there are only few who belong to that category. > The application process is simple and organized. Unlike other online homebased teaching platforms, Native Camp application procedures are by far the best! > It is easy to handle the students, because mostly are very polite and eager to learn.

Cons

CONS > PAY. For teachers working in the east and are considered "Asian" would be paid P55. The rate does not get higher even though you have stayed in the company for a long time. The rate remains the same even with a good mark or not. The teachers are ranked according to the average mark given by the students. There is no way that your rate will go higher, unless the company decides to change the rate. The teachers are categorized based on the following: Category 9 or 10 (Asian Countries) Rate: Sudden class will be paid based on the rating (5-stage evaluation) from the students after each lesson. Booked class: 60 / slot 8 or 11 European tutors Booked class: P76/ slot 18 South Africans Booked class: P239 / slot 19 Native English Speakers Booked class: P398 / slot NOTE: The rate is in Philippine peso. Use the current conversation rate for respective currency. > INCENTIVE. They provide incentives for a required number of classes per cut off. > Tax. I find this unreasonable compared to other teachers working for the company that are from another countries. If you are from the Philippines, each pay out is deducted 10%. If you try to analyze this with the incentives and the rate that you are receiving, the amount or incentives only go to the tax. It is like you work for charity. Other nationalities have no tax in their profits. I find this absurd and ridiculous. Why do homebased teachers have to pay tax when in fact that should be the option of the home-based teacher if she/he wants to apply for income tax rebates. While other nationalities are allowed that their salaries to be deposited on their PayPal accounts, Filipino teachers should have a bank account. For example: Pay per cut off: 5000 Tax: -10% (500) Take-home pay: 4500 NOTE: The 500 pesos becomes a charity. It is like you taught 9 classes for free because of that deduction. >INCENTIVE OF P550 per 100 classes per cut off. I find it very difficult to achieve considering if you only work for part-time (less than 5 hours a day). It is not also a guarantee to have classes on your open schedule. There are times that there are too many waiting teachers and there are no students. You could actually monitor those available teachers (waiting teacher) in another page. > ADMIN. If you have questions, the staff responds promptly. They are short for words, though--they only reply just for the sake of replying. I believe that the responses are copy-pasted to the point that your questions were not really answered. You cannot win if you have disputes in terms of pay or class disruption and penalties.

Pros

Job opportunity for people who don't have a degree. They supply videos for you to familiarize yourself with the different lessons. Their communication has a quick turnaround.

Cons

Videos cannot actually prepare you for doing the actual lessons. Some sort of interactive system is needed to prepare teachers better for conducting the actual lessons. Communication method on the interface is a bit confusing - I cannot see which messages are unread-even when I toggle the icon to "unread messages"

Pros

1. Very flexible platform 2. No minimum hours required 3. mostly polite students 4. lesson material provided

Cons

1. The salary is pathetic and it is a shame they are still paying that same rate since they started. 2. They recently introduced a feature where you can adjust your rate but the requirements you should meet first are almost impossible to achieve. 3. very long waiting hours, too many teachers, very few students 4. a biased rating system that punishes teachers
