Pros
Nearpod isn't perfect. Things changes quickly, we could communicate better, and it sometimes feels like we're focusing on the wrong things. But I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. The people are amazing--everyone you meet has a unique story, is humble, intelligent, and works their butt off. Teachers LOVE our products. Go search "Nearpod" or "Flocabulary" on Twitter. Seriously, go do it. We're defining a new category and engaging millions of students across the world. And while things do change quickly, that breeds a lot of opportunity. If you do your job well, you'll get more responsibility where you can make an even bigger impact. Compensation is on par with other companies in the industry and I've never had any complaints about benefits.
Cons
Working here definitely isn't easy. Constant growth is a double-edged sword. We're fighting against some decisions made in the past (everything from how we set up out product and databases to the structure of certain teams for given positions) and we REALLY don't communicate as well as we could. Turnover varies by department. Most people in Product, Engineering, G&A have been here for a couple of years. Sales reps go in and out. All in all, it feels like there's a core group that's been here for a while and it's cool to be a partof.
