Pros

I feel as if I'm being challenged and supported to expand upon my existing skills. I feel encouraged to explore enrichment opportunities Everyone at Neilson that I've crossed paths with has struck me as friendly, helpful and incredibly capable/strong sense of responsibility. Leaders set a great example for the team, and I've found them to be approachable. Maybe most importantly, Neilson leaders are open to risk in the interest of empowering individuals with new ideas. They offer reassuring feedback and don't flinch when small mistakes happen. I have seen several examples of team members departing Neilson, and decide to return down the line. It says a lot about how much people enjoyed their time here. Many employees are parents and I've seen time and time again that every grace is extended for school runs, sick kiddos, etc, the team is very flexible and understanding that life happens.

Cons

No glaring cons - the work hours are typically 9-6, so if you prefer a 9-5 you may view this as a con.

Pros

One of the better sales environments that I have seen. Healthy competition between agents but still a sense of commonality and cheering on your coworkers. They have an R&R room to step away and take a break and the actual break room is far enough removed from the floor that you can really take time to eat and relax and not get sucked back in to work. The company is pretty diverse and the management team makes themselves available when needed. Expectations have increased on showing up on time and being professional but it still does not feel micromanaged but rather creates coaching environment. This isn't a sales job where you are pressured to crank out unrealistic daily numbers and get yelled at or worry about job security because of it. In fact turnover is refreshingly low. Pay is competitive and they make growth paths very clear.

Cons

With all the new growth things have become cramped but that will be fixed next month when we move to a brand new office. As with all start ups, sometimes technology and processes take awhile to catch up with the company but overall Neilson does a great job recognizing the issues and working to correct them.
