Pros
-A few times a quarter they offer a "30/30" discount on certain brands -Sample sales -Opportunity to be involved in a lot of projects if you ask for it -Downtown offices are nice -Unlimited sick time -Experience all depends on your direct manager. I was lucky enough to have all wonderful experiences until my most recent. -Lack of clear priority in mid level management -New CEO is a breath of fresh air. He's on a roll with shaking up senior management and we love it.
Cons
-LOW comp, way below industry standards (even in DFW) -Expensive health/dental insurance -Low PTO; newly changed policy doesn't roll over unused days. Employees must pay back taken unearned time, and company doesn't pay out for earned time if you leave. -Las Colinas "Atrium" office is a joke. The place is infested with pests (moths and cockroaches mostly), the conference rooms are filled with broken chairs and projectors that barely boot up for presentations (that's IF you can even find a connecting cord), there are no windows, torn up stained carpet, and the offices are connected to the warehouse so you have to listen to the constant noise of conveyor belts churning and forklifts beeping. When I say there are no windows, prepare to not see the light of day until you walk back out. Even software developers on high profile projects are closed in a back make-shift room with plywood for walls, and hornet traps hanging from the ceilings. It's not the type of motivating environment anyone should be working in full time. -The teams are so overworked there is no social culture at all. People come into work, put their heads down, and work until it's time to leave. Never any happy hours or team building.
