Working with prestigious brands, building relationships with clients

Cons

They hire you to run the business and grow your beauty line, then expect you to sell shoes, handbags, clothing. A certain percentage of your hourly is paid by the vendor, some up to 90%. As a vendor, that would not make me happy sending someone off to sell anything other than what I am paying you for. Then you're in other departments selling, and you have clients waiting at your counter. Beauty wasn't what it used to be.

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

A toxic environment where sales are almost zero because vendors are pulling their product off the shelf because their bills aren’t getting paid. They’re in the middle of coming out of a bankruptcy , if a client does come in, we usually don’t have the product to sell them ,only lines who are partially thriving is fragrance ! The hours are terrible. You get off work at nine and you’re expected to be back at 9:30 AM.
