Pros
Broadly interesting users, full wfh flexibility (very little office presence). If you are looking to have an outsized impact, this could be a pro since everything needs to be done due to lack of corporate structure and willingness to standardize. Worklife balance can be really good since you can cruise or take ownership and overwork so its your choice. The company can offer good opportunities for junior people too, since you can easily grab more responsibility than other places. People are broadly nice, but not a differentiating factor. Netbase Quid is a leader in the space it operates which is somewhat cool. Cash compensation can be under or equal to tech market ( non-cash compensation value, like equity, is questionable). If you are thinking about joining, read all the negative reviews that will help you have a better understanding since the 4 and 5 star reviews are of questionable source (especially the recent ones). Overall, this can be a nice job, but dont expect it to be life-changing, or a place where you will considerably grow, be cared about, or have mentorship.
Cons
Management is old school and do not care about 21st century company culture. The merger of Netbase and Quid was very traumatic as there was no integration plan (leading to enormous amounts of churn of both sides). This is not a tech company; the space is very commoditized and therefore companies only survive by managing expenses very well; be ready for very stingy policies and basic benefits. Both products have barely changed over the years and will only evolve with very risk-free and minor improvements which are not exciting or move the needle; so it wont be that exciting. Considerable politics due to old-fashioned practices with most decisions having to be made at the top. HR does not exist so you are on your own. Corporate Communications are also non existent so a lot of communication silos across. My favorite con is that when the pandemic started, the company (instead of offering employees support to build a work from home office) tried to sell back its office furniture, so employees could buy the company a chair for $25 (delivery not included): this should tell you everything. Limited career growth overall, as you will grow only if you are politically-smart and are talented and seen by senior mgmt.
