Pros

I get to be a part of an amazing leader ship team that helps to innovate mental health treatment delivery to patients in our community.

Cons

Neurobehavioral hospitals is a start up behavioral health hospital system, so, although we don’t have years of system based practice, we get to innovate and implement the best of the best practices. But this means there needs to be flexibility with our staff, helping to innovate this new practices.

Pros

Employee lunch program is made available if you trust it. Supervisor is very flexible. Work can be rewarding.

Cons

Social Workers are salary but are expected to use PTO if the Census is low, which is most of the time. Once that runs out they force you to take unpaid days off. Unheard of. If you want to take an actual vacation it will likely be unpaid due to using all your PTO. They say we are overstaffed but then they keep hiring more people resulting in more shift cuts. Never seen the CEO, no one knows what's happening and why no one can work and yet we are constantly hiring more people so employee moral is in hell. Supervisor means well, works hard, and can be very empathetic but does not communicate effectively. Things are usually hard through the grapevine. A lot of the social workers are burnt out and one of the the office environments is VERY toxic with a lot of crap talking about everyone in existence and negativity. Some patients can be physically aggressive.
