Pros
Pay is ok. There are some nice and talented people working there.
Cons
The company is totally dysfunctional. The IT department is anonymously managed by the broadcast department whose executives are not qualified to manage and direct the company's technological practices yet make all the decisions. On the other hand, the IT department is frequently criticized and blamed for any perceived shortcomings, which are brought on by a lack of leadership accompanied by a lack of respect for the skills of its members. Management does not have the technical experience to manage its subordinate staff. Managerial policies are based on privilege and area code. As far as technical issues, they would rather feign than correct and fix. Efficiency and aptitude are not supported and any attempt at it gives way to authoritarian compliance. Communication is sub-par at best. Backstabbing, blaming, and finger pointing become common place behavior among co-workers. Best practices run into dictatorship and cover up. Accuracy collides with intentional diversion and disinformation campaigns launched for the purpose of surviving the outputs of the systemic inefficiency that plagues this company.
