Pros
I've worked at small companies and large corporations. Except for one, they all suffered from some form of suffocation, whether it was micromanagement or red tape. Not so here. I can easily say this is the best place I've ever worked at, hands down. The management style is very relaxed, stepping in to make policies only when absolutely necessary to maintain productivity. The best part is they TRUST you to do your job, and they trust that you have the judgement to carry out your duties to the best of your abilities. That's respect. People respect each other around here. There's no bull. No one points fingers at anyone else. If something goes wrong, it's not about who's fault it is, it's about what the solution is to fix it. Everyone genuinely cares about each other, and always eager to make someone else's job easier. For me, the hardest part about finding the right job was finding the right atmosphere. I'm the kind of person who just needs to be pointed in a direction and I'll do what it takes to reach the goal. I hate meddling micromanagers who think they need to do my job for me. Thank goodness I found Nexternal. Now I can just do what I enjoy and not worry about the politics.
Cons
Because it is a small company, the insurance plan options are kinda crappy. I admit I do miss the corporate health plan I once had where the company covered most of the costs (big corporations have the leverage to get better rates).
