Pros
Benefits are fair. You'd think being Union they'd be far better but they are kind of sub-par. The health insurance is very expensive for what it is. You do get annual profit sharing bonus , but its tied to behavior so you will be scrutinized non stop since management will benefit from your discipline. There are opportunities to learn new trades. There are opportunities to see different parts of northern Indiana as well.
Cons
You now have forced overtime so kiss your family good bye because your only going to see them on vacations. You will have an electronic nanny in your company vehicle monitoring your every movement. There is a feeling of distrust in upper management. The executive board has no value in the union as they willingly locked them out in April 2026 instead of negotiating a contract. The feeling of division among the work force became inevitable.
