Pros
Small business and young culture with a good deal of energy. The physical environment is upbeat except for those silly grade-school tables. Working around the PDF and e-sign market may at first seem dated but the markets are still there and finding solutions for the average digital customer is rewarding. There is an opportunity at this place to really impact the digital document exchange space.
Cons
Epitome of the inside old boy/old girl network. The great disappoint at Nitro is the leadership, which at first is their most charming attribute. Young, upbeat, focused but that wears off after the first few months, sometimes even faster. Despite clarion call of innovation the place is run under extreme oversight by the CEO and COO with a handful of lieutenants. Over the last two years they have lost what would have been key infrastructure leaders which could have moved the company forward. In a nutshell, after a major infusion of VC funding the employees got to sit at tables while the CEO, COO and head of HR got their already spacious offices expanded. There is actually an entrance room in front of the CEO and COO's office. An odd barrier of access in a culture that prides itself on egalitarianism.
